West Ham United banned season-ticket holder Joshua Wood after he held an oversized protest banner.
The banner urged club owners to sell and appeared during a home match against Sunderland.
The club said Wood breached stadium rules on banner size, not protest content.
Protests this season have targeted David Sullivan and Karren Brady.
Wood received a five-match ban covering home and away fixtures.
He denied bringing the banner into the London Stadium and plans to appeal.
