Israeli jets struck senior Hamas officials in Doha on Tuesday, expanding the military campaign called “Summit of Fire.”

Prime Minister Netanyahu’s office said Israel planned and executed the attack independently and assumes full responsibility.

Eyewitnesses reported multiple explosions and saw smoke rising over Katara district in northern Doha.

Casualties Remain Unconfirmed

Initial reports claim four Hamas Political Bureau members may have died or gone missing, but Qatar reported no confirmed deaths.

The strike hit residential buildings housing several Hamas leaders, according to the Qatari Foreign Ministry.

Qatar condemned the attack as reckless and said authorities launched high-level investigations immediately.

Regional Reactions and Security Measures

The US Embassy in Qatar issued a shelter-in-place order for its staff and advised citizens to follow suit.

Qatar activated its military after the attack, the second direct strike on the Gulf nation this year.

Hamas leadership continues to live mostly outside Gaza, with Doha serving as a base since 2017.
